Abstract

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertolak observasi peneliti, bahwa pembinaan mualaf di Kota Palangka Raya kurang mendapat perhatian yang serius. Padahal mualaf perlu mendapatkan pembinaan dan pengajaran tentang nilai-nilai Islam secara intensif agar mereka konsisten pada agama Islam. Untuk itu, rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Bagaimana evaluasi konteks program pembinaan Pendidikan Agama Islam bagi mualaf di MCI Palangka Raya? 2) Bagaimana evaluasi input program pembinaan Pendidikan Agama Islam bagi mualaf di MCI Palangka Raya? 3) Bagaimana evaluasi proses program pembinaan Pendidikan Agama Islam bagi mualaf di MCI Palangka Raya? 4) Bagaimana evaluasi produk (hasil) program pembinaan Pendidikan Agama Islam bagi mualaf di MCI Palangka Raya?

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi dengan mixed methods dan model CIPP (context, input, process, product). Subjek penelitian ini adalah ketua MCI Palagka Raya. Adapun informan berjumlah 28 orang dengan rincian 8 orang pengurus lembaga, 3 orang pengurus merangkap pemateri pembinaan, 2 orang pemateri pembinaan, dan 15 orang mualaf sebagai informan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, angket, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Pengabsahan data dalam penelitian ini adalah trianggulasi sumber dan teknik. Adapun langkah analisis data kuantitaf, yaitu editing, scoring, tabulating, dan entry. Sedangkan langkah analisis data kualitatif, yaitu data collection, data reduction, data display, dan conclusion drawing/verification.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi program pembinaan Pendidikan Agama Islam bagi mualaf di MCI Palangka Raya adalah: 1) evaluasi konteks, yaitu kebutuhan yang belum terpenuhi meliputi dukungan lembaga, dukungan keluarga, dan materi pembinaan. Sedangkan materi akidah dan syariat merupakan materi yang belum tercapai serta materi ibadah dan akhlak yang mudah dicapai. 2) evaluasi input, yaitu pemateri telah sesuai keahlian, antusias mualaf dalam mengikuti pembinaan tergolong rendah, respon mualaf tergolong sangat baik, serta keadaan sarana dan prasarana pembinaan belum memadai. 3) evaluasi proses, yaitu adanya ketidaksesuaian jadwal pelaksanaan dan materi yang telah ditentukan. Selain itu, pemanfaatan sarana dan prasarana belum maksimal. Proses pelaksanaan program pun masih menemukan beberapa kendala. 4) evaluasi produk (hasil), yaitu ketercapaian tujuan program tergolong tinggi, tingkat kerajinan mualaf dalam beribadah tergolong tinggi, dan pembinaan di MCI Palangka Raya telah memberikan dampak keagamaan terhadap mualaf, seperti berpengetahuan keagamaan yang baik dan berakhlak karimah. Berdasarkan evaluasi dengan model CIPP ini, maka program pembinaan Pendidikan Agama Islam bagi mualaf di MCI Palangka Raya dilanjutkan dengan beberapa perbaikan.

ABSTRACT

This research is based on the observations of researchers, that development for mualaf in Palangka Raya has not received serious attention. Whereas mualaf need to get intensive guidance and teaching about Islamic values so that they are consistent with Islam. For this reason, the formulations of the problems in this research include: 1) How to evaluate the context of the Islamic Education development program for mualaf at MCI Palangka Raya? 2) How to evaluate the input of the Islamic Education development program for mualaf at MCI Palangka Raya? 3) How to evaluate the process of the Islamic Education development program for mualaf at MCI Palangka Raya? 4) How is the evaluation of the product (result) of the Islamic Education development program for mualaf at MCI Palangka Raya?

This research is evaluation research using mixed methods and the CIPP model (context, input, process, product). The subjects of this study were the chairman of MCI Palangka Raya. There were 28 informants with details 8 administrators, 3 administrators who are concurrently development presenters, 2 development presenters, and 15 mualaf as informants. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The validation of the data in this study was the triangulation of sources and techniques. The quantitative data analysis steps were editing, scoring, tabulating, and entry. While the qualitative data analysis step, namely data collection, data reduction, display data, and conclusion drawing/verification.

The results showed that the evaluation of the Islamic Education development program for mualaf at MCI Palangka Raya was: 1) context evaluation, namely unmet needs including institutional support, family support, and development materials. Meanwhile, the material on akidah and sharia is material that has not been achieved as well as material for ibadah and morals that is easy to achieve. 2) evaluation of input, namely that the presenters are by their expertise, enthusiasm of mualaf is low, the response of mualaf is very good, and the condition of the development facilities and infrastructure is inadequate. 3) process evaluation, namely the mismatch of the implementation schedule and the specified material. Besides, the utilization of facilities and infrastructure has not been maximized. The program implementation process still encountered several obstacles. 4) product evaluation (results), namely the achievement of program objectives is high, the level of mualaf to ibadah is high, and development at MCI Palangka Raya has a religious impact on mualaf, such as having good religious knowledge and having good character. Based on the evaluation using the CIPP model, the Islamic Education development program for mualaf at MCI Palangka Raya was continued with several improvements.
