Abstract

Al-Qur’an sebagai kitab suci umat Islam dan pedoman hidup, tentunya wajib untuk dipelajari oleh umat Islam. Peran orang tua dalam membimbing anak membaca Al-Qur’an sangat diperlukan. Orang tua yang berperan aktif dalam membimbing anak merupakan hal yang paling penting terhadap anak untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang nyaman bagi anak, dalam hal ini ketika mepelajari Al-Qur’an. Di Mts Ampah diketahui bahwa siswa yang berlatar belakang Sekolah Dasar/ Umum mampu dan lancar dalam membaca Al-Qur’an seperti anak yang memiliki latar belakang sekolah Agama atau Madrasah Ibtidayah, bahkan ada beberapa siswa yang Latar belakang SD justru lebih lancar membaca Al-Qur’an dibandingkan siswa yang belatar belakang Madrasah Ibtidayah (MI). Hal itu membuat peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti bagaimana aktivitas orangtua dalam membimbing anak membaca Al-Qur’an, studi terhadap orangtua siswa MtsN Ampah Kabupaten Barito Timur.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana aktivitas orang tua dalam membimbing anak membaca Al-Qur’an, khususnya pada siswa yang memiliki latar belakang sekolah dasar di MTsN Ampah. Peneliti menemukan kendala-kendala apa saja yang dihadapi orangtua ketika membimbing anak membaca Al-Qur’an. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Penggalian data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 10 orang orangtua sebagai informan. Teknik penelitian yang digunakan Teknik penelitian kualitatif, sedangkan teknik pengabsahan data menggunkan triangulasi sumber.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa setiap orangtua memiliki cara berbeda dalam membimbing anak membaca Al-Qur’an, dimana menggunakan metode, materi maupun media yang menyesuaikan dengan minat dan kebutuhan anak. Dalam aktivitas membimbing anak membaca Al-Qur’an juga perlu memerhatikan faktor motivasi anak. Adapun dalam aktivitas yang dilakukan, ditemukan beberapa kendala orangtua dalam membimbing anak membaca Al-Qur’an yaitu terkendala penyesuaian waktu anak dan orang tua, Media san Latar belakang sekolah orang tua. Namun ternyata orangtua bisa mengantisipsi kendala tersebut dengan menyesuaikan waktu anak dan orang tua, Media sederhana namun efektif, memanfaatkan peranan lembaga pendidikan seperti Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran dan anggota keluarga lainnya sehingga orang tua tetap bisa memaksimalkan Aktivitas membimbing anak membaca Al-Qur’an dengan hasil yang maksimal.

ABSTRACT

Al-Qur’an as the Muslims’ holy book and a guidance of way of life, definitely, must be studied by all Muslims. The role o parents in guiding their children to read Al-Qur’an is very necessary. Parents who play an active role for guiding their children is the most important thing to create a comfortable learning environment for them, in this sense, when studying Al-Qur’an. In State Islamic Junior High School (Mts) Ampah was known that students with Elementary/Public Schools background were capable and fluent in reading Al-Qur’an, as similar to students with Religious school or Madrasah Ibtidayah. Even in some cases, Elementary School (SD) students’ background was found more fluent in reading Al-Qur’an compared to students of Religius school’s (MI) background. This led the researches interested in examing how the parents’ activities in guilding children to read Al-Qur’an, a study that focused on students’ parents of MtsNAmpah, East Barito Regency.

The purpose of this study was to determine how the parents’ activities in guilding their children to read Al-Qur’an, especially students who had an Elementary School’s background at MTsN Ampah. The researcher found what kind of obstacles that the parents faced when guiding their children to read Al-Qur’an. The research method apllied was descriptive qualitative. The techniques of collecting data were by interview, obeservation, and documentation. The research subject were informations parents. The research technique used was qualitative research. The technique of data validating used source triangulation, while the technique of data analysis used data reduction, data display, and drawing.

The results showed that every parent had different ways in guiding their children to read Al-Qur’an, in which the use of methods and materials adjusted to children’s interest and needs. In the activity of guiding children to read Al-Qur’an, it was also necessary to pay attention to children’s motivation factors. As for the activities carried out, there were several obstacles found by parents in guiding their children to read Al-Qur’an, which were adjustment of children and parents’ time, media and parents’ school background. But then, the parents could anticipate those obstacles by adjusting children’s and parents’ time, with simple media yet effective, utilizing the role of educational institution such as Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an and other family members so the parents could still maximize the activity of guiding children to read Al-Qur’an with maximum results.
