Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya penggunaan media pembelajaran di kelas III, dalam pembelajaran Tematik guru masih menggunakan media gambar yang ada di buku paket pelajaran dan juga media yang ada dikelas. Pada saat proses pembelajaran pun berpusat pada guru yang lebih banyak menjelaskan materi. Hal ini mengakibatkan siswa memiliki tingkat keaktifan yang belum optimal terutama pada pembelajaran Tematik, dan hanya ada beberapa siswa yang terlihat aktif pada saat pembelajaran berlangsung.

Beranjak dari latar belakang tersebut, penulis mengadakan penelitian dengan rumusan masalah yaitu: 1) Bagaimana peremcanaan pembelajaran Tematik di kelas III MIN 3 Kota Palangka Raya? 2) Bagaimana penggunaan media gambar pada pembelajaran Tematik di kelas III MIN 3 Kota Palangka Raya? 3) Bagaimana aktivitas guru dan siswa selama proses penggunaan media gambar pada pembelajaran Tematik di kelas III MIN 3 Kota Palangka Raya?

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Kualitatif dengan pendekatan Deskriptif. Subyek penelitian adalah 1 orang guru wali kelas III sekaligus guru pembelajaran Tematik, dan siswa kelas III. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.

Hasil penelitian: 1) Perencanaan pembelajaran tematik yang dibuat oleh guru tergolong dalam kategori baik tetapi ada yang belum sesuai dengan standar proses. 2) Penggunaan media gambar pada pembelajaran tematik di kelas III MIN 3 Kota Palangka Raya sudah diterapkan dengan hasil yang cukup baik dan siswa menerimanya dengan antusias. 3) Aktivitas guru selama pembelajaran Tematik menggunakan media gambar sudah berjalan dengan sangat baik dan sesuai standar kompetensi guru, dan aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran Tematik menggunakan media gambar berjalan dengan baik dimana komunikasi siswa dan guru terlihat sinkron.

ABSTRACT

Background of problems in making this study of research is the lack of use of instructional media in the third grade students. In the thematic learning subject, the teacher is still using picture as media on a textbooks and also some picture or any else media in the class. At the learning process in the class, the teacher was centered and followed by explaining more about the material. Therefore in results, the students will be not optimal for their activity level in the class, especially in thematic learning subject, and there are only a few students who appear to be active during the learning process.

Moving on from this background, the authors’s aim on formulation of the problem: 1) How about planning thematic learning in third grade MIN 3 Palangka Raya City? 2) How to use picture media in thematic learning third class MIN 3 Palangka Raya City? 3) How are the activities of teacher and students during the process of using picture media in thematic learning in third grade MIN 3 Palangka Raya City?

This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive way to approach. The research subjects are 1 homeroom teacher of the third grade as well as Thematic learning subject teacher, and third grade students. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation.

The results of the study: 1) The Thematic learning plan who was made by the teacher is classified as good but some are not in accordance with the standard process. 2) The use of image as the media in thematic learning at MIN 3 Palangka Raya City’s third grade class, has been implemented with good results and students accepted it enthusiastically. 3) Teacher activities during Thematic learning using picture as the media have been running very well and according to teacher competency standards, and student activities during the Thematic learning process using picture as the media gone very well where student and teacher communication looks synchronous.
