Abstract

Kepala MAN-Sampit seharusnya berperan dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru agar proses pembelajaran berjalan lancar, namun apakah semua itu telah dilaksanakan, menjadi pertanyaan yang harus dijawab dengan penelitian bagaimana peranan kepala MAN-Sampit dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi profesional, kompetensi kepribadian, dan kompetensi sosial guru.

Subjek penelitian kepala MAN-Sampit, dengan jenis penelitian deskriptip dan pendekatan kualitatif, Penggalian data menggunakan tehnik observasi dan wawancara dan pengabsahan data dilakukan dengan tehnik triangulasi, Tehnik analisis data meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan menarik kesimpulan atau verifikasi.

Hasil penelitian adalah pertama: peranan kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik yaitu: mempertinggi mutu dan pengetahuan guru dengan mengadakan diskusi kelompok tentang pembelajaran, menyediakan perpustakaan, mengirim guru untuk mengikuti penataran, seminar, sesuai bidangnya dan mengembangkan, mencari, menggunakan metode mengajar yang sesuai dengan kurikulum juga melengakapi fasilitas madrasah seperti komputer dan laboratorium. Kedua: peranan kepala MAN-Sampit dalam meningkatkan kompetensi kepribadian yaitu memberikan teladan yang baik, mendorong dan memotivasi guru untuk dapat bersifat dewasa, arif dan berwibawa dalam segala tindakan dan perilakunya agar mampu memberikan contoh teladan yang baik kepada peserta didik. Ketiga: peranan kepala MAN-Sampit dalam meningkatkan kompetensi sosial yaitu, berupaya membina kompetensi guru, berkerjasama dengan baik dan harmonis dengan para guru dan peserta didik, juga medorong dan memotivasi guru agar dapat membina hubungan yang baik dengan orangtua/wali murid dan masyarakat disekitar madrasah. Keempat: peranan kepala MAN-Sampit dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional yaitu, memotivasi guru agar meningkatkan kemampuan menguasai materi pembelajaran, mengembangkan, mencari, menggunakan metode mengajar yang sesuai tuntunan kurikulum, dan memahami kaidah-kaidah pembelajaran.

ABSTRACT

The principal of man-sampit should have a role in improving the competencies of the teacher so that the learning process can run well. Does everything run well? This becomes a question for the writer that should ne asked: how is the role of the principal of MAN-Sampit in improving the pedagogical, professional, personality, and social competencies of the teacher?

The subject of the study is the principal of MAN-Sampit. The study is classified and qualitative descriptive approach. The data are collected through observation and interview. The data are validated through triangulation. The technique of data collection includes data reductions, data display and conclusion drawing/verification.

The results of the study are as follows. First, the roles of the principal of madrasah in improving the pedagogical competencies of the teacher are: improving the quality and the knowledge of the teachers by conducting group discussion about learning, providing library, sending the teacher to follow upgrading, seminar in line with their skills, developing, using teaching method in line with the curriculum, completing the madrasah facilities such as computer and laboratory. second, the roles of the principal MAN-Sampit in improving the personality competencies of the teachers are; giving a good model, encourage and motivate the teachers to be adult, wise and have a authoritative bearing in all actions and their behaviors so that the teachers are able to give a good examples to the students. Third, the roles of the principal of MAN-Sampit in improving the social competencies of the teachers are; the principal nutures the competencies of the teacher, the headmaster cooperates well and harmoniously with the teachers and the students, the principal encourage and motivate the teachers to create a good relationship with the parents/persons responsible for the students and the community around madrasah. Fourth, the roles of the principal of madrasah in improving the professional competencies are; motivating the teachers to improve their ability to master the learning material, developing, searching, using learning method in line with the need of the curriculum and understanding the rules of learning.
