Abstract

Penelitian ini bertolak dari cara guru untuk meningkatnya kualitas pendidikan yaitu dengan memperbaiki proses pembelajaran di kelas, baik dalam hal strategi, pendekatan, metode dan model pembelajaran. proses pembelajaran di kelas guru menggunakan metode ceramah,diskusi dan penugasan sehingga guru sebagai pusat pembelajaran, yang menyebabkan ketertarikan dalam proses belajar dan partisipasi peserta didik masih kurang. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut maka guru akan menerapkan model pembelajaran Team Game Tournament (TGT) yaitu Perpaduan antara belajar, bermain dan berkompetisi Keefektifan model pembelajaran ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik. Sehingga rumusan masalah ini adalah 1) Bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Game Tournament (TGT) pada kelas V di MIS Hidayatul Insan Palangka Raya? 2) Apakah ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara penerepan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Game Tournament (TGT) terhadap minat belajar siswa kelas V di MIS Hidayatul Insan Palangka Raya?
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dalam mengumpulkan datanya, karena data yang dikumpulkan berupa data statistik dengan metode penelitian quasi eksperimen tipe time series design. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 41 orang siswa. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V yang diberi perlakuan sebanyak tiga kali dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1) penerapan pertama, kedua, dan ketiga saat guru menerapkan model TGT termasuk katagori baik sekali yang artinya penerapan model TGT efektif untuk meningkatkan semangat belajar siswa ada peningkatan setelah mendapat perlakuan (treatment) dengan rata-rata nilai pretes adalah 65,593. Sedangkan nilai postesnya adalah 82,415 adapun selisih nilai postes dan pretes yaitu sebesar 16,822 (20,41%) dan nilai N-gain 0,451 dengan kreiteria sedang; 2) Hasil analisis regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan bahwa nilai thitung 2,732 > ttabel 1,68488 dengan tingkat signifikansi sebesar 0,05, hal ini berarti bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe team game tournament (TGT) terhadap minat belajar siswa kelas V MIS Hidayatul Insan Palangka Raya pada tema organ gerak hewan dan manusia; model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe team game tournament (TGT) memberikan pengaruh kepada variabel minat belajar siswa sebesar 16,1 % dan sisanya sebesar 83,9 % merupakan pengaruh faktor lain yang belum diungkap dalam penelitian ini.

ABSTRACT

The background of this research from the teachers’ method to improve the education quality by fixed the learning process in the class, both in strategy, approach, method and learning model, teacher in learning process in the class use lecture method, discussion, and assignment and make the teacher as learning center, which causes less interest in the learning process and student participation. Based on that problem, the teacher will implement Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model which means the combination among learning, playing and competition. The effectiveness of this learning model expected can be improve the students’ learning interest. The problem of this research are 1) How the implementation of cooperative learning type Team Games Tournament (TGT) on fifth grade at MIS Hidayatul Insan Palangka Raya ? 2) Is there any positive and significant influence between the implementation of cooperative learning type Team Games Tournament (TGT) toward fifth grade students’ learning interest at MIS Hidayatul Insan Palangka Raya ?
This research used quantitative approach in collecting the data, because the data that collected was the statistic data with research method quasi experiment type time series design. The population and sample in this research were 41 students. The subject of this research the fifth grade students that gave treatment three times with cooperative learning type Team Games Tournament (TGT).
The result of this research shows that : 1) the first, second, and third observation when the teacher applies the TGT model includes excellent categories, which means that the application of the TGT model is affective for increasing student enthusiasm for learning. There is an improve after give the treatment with average score in pretest is 65.593, while the average score in posttest is 82.415 and the difference score between pretest and posttest is 16.822 (20.41%) and N-gain score is 0.451 in moderate criteria. 2) The result of simple linear regression shows that tobserve (2.732) > ttable (1.685) in 0.05 significance, this shows that there is positive and significant influence between the implementation of cooperative learning type Team Games Tournament (TGT) toward fifth grade students’ learning interest at MIS Hidayatul Insan Palangka Raya on animal and human movement theme. Cooperative learning type Team Games Tournament (TGT) give influence to the students’ learning interest variable 16.1% and the rest 83.9% based on other factors that still not reveal in this research.
