Abstract
Penelitian ini berdasarkan pada hasil observasi awal disekolah MTs Islamiyah Palangka Raya diketahui bahwa sistem pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi dan kurangnya media penunjang berakibat pada rendahnya hasil belajar dan tidak tumbuhnya keterampilan proses sains peserta didik pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup. Ketuntasan peserta didik pada mata pelajaran klasifikasi makhluk hidup hanya sebesar 68%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalalah: (1) mendeskripsikan keterterapan model STAD dalam proses belajar mengajar, (2) untuk mengetahui KPS peserta didik melalui penerapan model pembelajaran STAD berbantuan objek asli dan charta, (3) untuk mengetahui hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran STAD berbantuan objek asli dan charta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Data keterterapan diukur menggunakan lembar observasi dan dianalisis menggunakan skala Guttman. Data KPS meliputi: (1) mengamati, (2) mengklasifikasikan, (3) mengkomunikasikan, dan (4) menyimpulkan diambil dengan lembar observasi dan dianalisis dengan skala Likert. Data hasil belajar kognitif diperoleh menggunakan metode tes dan dianalisis dengan rumus N-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penerapan model pembelajaran STAD berbantuan objek asli dan charta mencapai rata-rata 83% dengan kategori baik, (2) KPS peserta didik tercapai sebesar 80,82% yang termasuk dalam kategri sangat baik pada setiap aspek KPS mengalami peningkatan setiap pertemuan, (3) hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup mencapai ketuntasan sebesar 92% dan ketidaktuntasan hanya sebesar 8%. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran STAD berbantuan objek asli dan charta dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif dan menumbuhkan KPS peserta didik.
ABSTRACT
This research is based on the results of preliminary observations at the school of MTs Islamic Palangka Raya. It is known that a less varied learning system and lack of supporting media result in low learning outcomes and not the growth of science process skills of students on the material classification of living things. The completeness of students in the subjects of classification of living things is only 68%. The purpose of this study are: (1) to describe the applicability of the STAD model in the teaching and learning process, (2) to find out the KPS of students through the application of the STAD learning model assisted by the original object and charta, (3) to find out the cognitive learning outcomes of students on creature classification material live after applying the STAD learning model assisted by the original object and charta. This study uses descriptive quantitative methods. Applied data was measured using observation sheets and analyzed using the Guttman scale. Data include: (1) observing, (2) classifying, (3) communicating, and (4) conclusions taken with observation sheets and analyzed with a Likert scale. Data of cognitive learning outcomes were obtained using the test method and analyzed by the N-gain formula. The results showed that: (1) the application of the STAD learning model assisted by original objects and charta reached an average of 83% with good categories, (2) KPS of students reached 80.82% which was included in the category very well in every aspect of KPS experienced increase in each meeting, (3) students' cognitive learning outcomes on material classification of living things reached 92% completeness and incompleteness was only 8%. The results of this study can be concluded that the STAD learning model assisted by original objects and charta can improve cognitive learning outcomes and grow students' KPS.
