Abstract

Penelitian ini berlatar belakang dari kurangnya pemanfaatan lingkungan sekitar sebagai media atau sumber belajar. Selain itu, aktivitas peserta didik masih pasif karena metode yang diterapkan masih bersifat konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1). Mengetahui keterlaksanaan pendekatan Jelajah Alam Sekitar (JAS) 2). Mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas peserta didik kelas X SMAN 2 Maliku selama pembelajaran pendekatan JAS 3). Mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan JAS pada materi Keanekaragaman hayati terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X SMAN 2 Maliku 4). Mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan pendekatan JAS.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dan desain penelitiannya menggunakan Nonrandomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Purposive Sampling. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu sebanyak 26 orang dari 77 peserta didik. Instrument yang digunakan yaitu berupa soal objektif untuk mengukur kemampuan kognitif dan lembar aktivitas peserta didik untuk mengukur aktivitas peserta didik serta lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran untuk menilai keterlaksanaan pendekatan JAS (Jelajah Alam Sekitar). Analisis data menggunakan Uji “t”.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) Keterlaksanaan pendekatan JAS berdasarkan hasil hitung diperoleh 2,77 maka berkriteria baik. 2) Aktivitas peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan JAS diperoleh rata-rata 2,51 sehingga berkriteria baik. 3) Berdasarkan analisis uji hipotesis menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pendekatan JAS pada materi keanekaragaman hayati terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X SMAN 2 Maliku dengan taraf signifikasi 5% dimana thitung>ttabel yaitu 3,908>2,000 sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. 4) Peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik sebelum diberikan perlakuan pendekatan JAS memiliki rata-rata nilai yaitu 48,62 kemudian setelah diberikan perlakuan pendekatan JAS memiliki rata-rata nilai 80,62 berdasarkan perhitungan N-Gain menunjukan kisaran 0,62 sehingga dapat dikatakan peningkatan pemahaman pada peserta didik berkategori sedang.

ABSTRACT

The background of this study was lack of surrounding environment utilization as media or learning resources. In addition, the activities of the learners were still passive because the method implemented was still conventional. This study aims to; 1) determine the implementation of Neighborhood Nature Exploration Approach 2) determine the improvement of learners’ activity at grade X SMAN 2 Maliku during implementing Neighborhood Nature Approach 3) determine the effect of Neighborhood Nature Exploration Approach on biodiversity subject toward students’ learning outcomes at grade X SMAN 2 Maliku 4) determine the improvement of students’ learning outcomes after implementing Neighborhood Nature Exploration Approach.
The research method used was quasi experiment and research design used was Nonrandomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample technique used was purposive sampling. The samples used were 26 from 77 students. The research instruments used were objective test questions to measure cognitive abilities and students’ answer sheet activities to measure the implementation of Neighborhood Nature Exploration Approach. The data was analyzed by “t” test.
The result of this study showed that: 1) the implementation of Neighborhood Nature Exploration Approach based on the calculation results were obtained 2.77. It includedinto good criteria. 2) Learners’ activities during implementing Neighborhood Nature Exploration Approach were obtained an average of 2.51. It includedinto good criteria. 3) Based on the hypothesis test analysis showed that there is an effect of JAS approach on biodiversity subject to learners learning outcomes at grade X second semester SMAN 2 Maliku with 5% significance level which tcount>ttablewas 3.908 >2,000 so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. 4) The improvement of learners’learning outcomes before implementing Neighborhood Nature Exploration Approach has an average value of 48.62 and after implementing the approach has an average of 80.62 based on N-Gain calculation. It showed the range of 0.62 so it indicated that the students’ understanding was included into medium category.
